PROFILE

The Faculty of Economics was established in 1981 based on the Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia Number 0330/O/1981. In 2012 the name of the Faculty of Economics changed to the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) based on the Rector’s Decree Number: 162/II/2012. The name change is intended to support the Internationalization process and to respond to the demands of today’s environmental developments.

VISION

To establish a center of excellence for economics and business education in 2029 that meets the needs of the modern world, is globally competitive, and offers a path for change based on Islamic principles.

MISSION

  1. Organizing a quality education process in order to create a mainstream society;
  2. Develop science and technology through conducting quality research and publications, in the fields of economics, management, and accounting; and
  3. Organizing community service activities that are beneficial to the community.

OBJECTIVES

  1. Produce quality graduates who are characterized by being devoted to God Almighty;
  2. Able to learn themselves, have broad insight, have discipline and work ethic, strong professional staff, and able to compete;
  3. To become a center for the development of science and technology in the economic and business fields to encourage national and international development; and
  4. Able to empower the community through research and community service society in the fields of economics and business with a scientific approach.

TARGET

  1. Strengthening the reputation of FEB UMS at the national and international levels;
  2. Acceleration of performance in the fields of research, community service, and scientific publications based on stakeholder needs;
  3. Pioneering in progressive Islamic education;
  4. IT optimization for Institutional management, and
  5. Institutional cooperation.
