PROFILE, MISSION, MISSION, AND OBJECTIVES
PROFILE
The Faculty of Economics was established in 1981 based on the Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia Number 0330/O/1981. In 2012, the name Faculty of Economics was changed to the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) based on the Rector’s Decree Number 162/II/2012. This change was intended to support the internationalization process and to respond to the demands of the current global and institutional environment.
VISION
To become an Islamic Faculty of Economics and Business that drives transformative change.
MISSION
To educate students to become technologically proficient business leaders and professionals with an entrepreneurial spirit and strong Islamic ethics.
GOALS
- To establish an ecosystem for learning, development, and application of business knowledge inspired by the values of Progressive Islam; and
- To produce competent business leaders and professionals with strong Islamic character.
OBJECTIVES
- Improved employability of UMS graduates in reputable institutions and organizations.
- Improved research management.
- Improved management of Community Service (PkM).
- Improved management of the Teaching and Learning Process (PBM).
- The establishment of a sound funding structure, financial governance transparency and accountability, and improved quality of facilities and infrastructure.
- The achievement of competitive human resource productivity.
- The strengthening of FEB UMS’s reputation at the national and international levels.
STRATEGY
- Collaboration with international institutions to enhance students’ interests and talents, improve achievements, strengthen student competencies, and improve graduate competencies.
- An increase in the number of alumni working in fields relevant to their expertise, as well as improved reputation and academic achievements of students at the national and international levels.
- Improved competitiveness of faculty research and increased research grant funding from external sources outside the university.
- Improved competitiveness of faculty community service (PkM) and increased community service grant funding from external sources outside the university.
- Improvement in faculty qualifications and teaching methods.
- The implementation of an international curriculum and enhancement of educational facilities and infrastructure that meet international standards.
- Strengthening the VMTS (Vision, Mission, Goals, and Strategies) of FEB UMS with an international dimension.
