STRATEGIC PLAN
The formulation of the FEB UMS Strategic Plan (Renstra) 2025–2029 reflects the commitment of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (FEB UMS), to systematically chart a path toward a more adaptive and impactful future. This document serves as a guideline and a set of development priorities for FEB UMS over the four-year period, functioning as a strategic compass for the entire FEB UMS academic community. Through this strategic plan, all programs and activities are expected to remain aligned with the mission of FEB UMS, namely to educate students to become technologically proficient business leaders and professionals, with an entrepreneurial spirit and strong Islamic ethical values.
Specifically, the objectives of the FEB UMS Strategic Plan are as follows:
To translate the vision, mission, objectives, and Long-Term Development Plan (RPJP) into more measurable strategic targets over a four-year period.
To serve as a reference in the preparation of annual operational plans (Renop) for the faculty and study programs.
To ensure that all organizational planning and development efforts are well-directed and fully integrated.
To function as an evaluation instrument for measuring organizational performance.
The 2025–2029 Strategic Plan represents the final phase of the RPJP 2005–2029. In this phase, FEB UMS is expected to emerge as an institution that provides direction for change. FEB UMS is projected to have successfully positioned its human resources—both graduates and academic staff—in strategic roles within various national and international institutions, in both the public and private sectors, while acting as pioneers within their respective environments. At this stage, the outcomes of research and community service activities are also expected to serve as key references for policymakers, the business sector, and the wider community. Furthermore, research performance, community engagement, and non-student revenue streams are targeted to contribute as income-generating sources for FEB UMS.
The Strategic Plan for the Faculty of Economics and Business, Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta (FEB UMS) for 2021-2025 contains several strategic issues and development directions for FEB UMS in order to respond to changes in higher education regulations as well as contemporary issues related to the latest EMBA developments.
This Strategic Plan contains the direction and development of FEB UMS in the next 5 years. This strategic plan serves as a guide for FEB UMS and the study programs under it, both undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral degrees, to prepare an Annual Implementation Plan (RIT) in the RPUPPS (Study Program Management Unit Development Plan) and RPPS (Program Development Plan Studies).
